I just love the Lockhorns. They are your typical, average, ok .... not so average, married couple. The stunts that he tries to pull over his wife, and the looks that she gives him! LOL too funny!

I Believe
I came across this poem that I wanted to share with you. This is the type of poem that lets you do a lot of thinking. Enjoy!!
I believe—
that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
I believe—
that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I believe—
that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
I believe—
that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
I believe—
that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I believe—
that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I believe—
that you can keep going long after you can't.
I believe—
that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I believe—
that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I believe—
that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.

Did You Know??
Venice to use algae for 50% of its electricity The city of Venice has announced a plan to utilize algae in a different way than we're used to hearing about. The Italian city plans to produce 50 percent of its electricity needs from an algae-based power plant instead of fossil fuels. The water-filled city is turning what has become a nuisance into a renewable energy resource. The city will be producing electricity from two types of algae that are brought in clinging to ships and regularly grow over the seaport. The algae will be cultivated and treated in laboratories to turn it into fuel. The fuel will then be used to power turbines in a new 40 MW power plant in the center of the city.In order to make the new power plant truly carbon neutral, any CO2 produced by the process will be fed back to the algae.The innovative project will cost the city $264 million and should be operating in two years.via EcoWorldly

Spring is in the Air
Springtime is such a beautiful time of year!! When all comes back to life, especially all the beautiful flowers! For the past few days we have had such beautiful weather, and what better time to plant some flowers. Put some color into something that was so dark and dreary. Ahhh and the fragrance that each flower brings at times with some annoying friends which are not needed. Oh well, will just have to swat away those annoying pest! For now I will just enjoy the beautiful flowers and savor the Springtime weather!!

Hooked on Verde
On my journey this morning I stumbled upon this site that played classical music. What made it more interesting is the video that goes along with it is so charming!! Anyone seeing this video whether or not they are into classical music would enjoy this just the same --- even children. In fact I think that would get much more pleasure out of seeing this!! Watch and enjoy ... hope you get as much pleasure in this as I did.
L'Aquilia, Italy
The other day there was an earthquake in Italy, where nearly 300 people have died. It is very sad to see things of this nature happen to anyone. In today's paper there was this picture that I thought was "wow". It is a Firefighter being hoisted down into the church of Santa Maria del Suffragio, from the top of the Dome of the church. It is actually a magnificent picture, sorry that it is from a place that just suffered destruction. God help them all and may the dead rest in peace.
